Talcott Systems recently completed work on the first version of the America Speaking Out iPhone App, a project of the U.S. House Republican leadership. In July, Talcott Systems was contracted by Synteractive of Washington, DC on behalf of America Speaking Out to rapidly customize and deliver this mobile companion App for their americaspeakingout.com website. We are happy to announce as of August 14, the app is available for download here.

Noting the release of the new mobile app, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, Chairman of America Speaking Out, offered the following comments:

“America Speaking Out has always represented a forward-looking way for Congress to operate. Continuing to integrate mobile apps into the project, we are setting a new bar for direct constituent engagement. Americans now have one more direct line to the ear of House Republicans.”

The America Speaking Out website is based on the Microsoft TownHall platform and offered an XML API via Microsofts’ Azure cloud offering. The app itself existed in a prototype form and we performed extensive work under an aggressive deadline to render it suitable for publishing via Apple’s App Store.
