During the first half of 2010 Talcott Systems played a significant role in the development and production deployment of a multi-million dollar expert system for medication therapy management.

We participated as a remote pair-programming team under the umbrella of one of the most well-known firms in the Ruby on Rails development community. We were able to work with a lot of other top-talent as part of a team spanning four continents and utilizing much of the latest in Ruby and Rails technology. The system itself is now being used by insurance companies to detect and prevent problems with their patients’ medications by monitoring prescription and patient information and scheduling or initiating interventions with physicians, pharmacists, patients and care-givers.
